Anthropic is giving Claude Code users more room to work, announcing a permanent increase to standard weekly usage limits beginning September 14.
The company says weekly limits will rise by 25% for users on Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise plans. The change could benefit developers who rely heavily on Claude Code for programming, debugging, automation, and other AI-assisted development tasks.
Until the permanent increase takes effect, Anthropic is temporarily providing a larger 50% boost to current weekly limits. After September 14, limits will transition to the new permanent 25% increase.
Higher weekly limits could allow developers to run longer coding sessions, work across larger projects, and make greater use of Claude Code without reaching usage restrictions as quickly. The increase may be particularly useful for teams incorporating AI into software development, testing, troubleshooting, and repetitive coding workflows.
